My View On “EPA Proposes Tighter, Costlier Smog Limits”
How much of the smog in thwho is nicki minaj dating picture is coming from China and Mexico ? Experts estimate about 25% from China… How much influence is our EPA going to have on China economic development or environmental policy ?
And when we finally succeed in sending every one of our manufacturing plants to Asia what will be the result for the environment ? Clouds of toxic waste blowing in from the West is my guess.
I’ve been involved in the engineering service side of the equation for almost 35 years. I’ve participated in environmental and alternative energy projects that have spanned the gamit from Jimmy Carters day until now in this country and around the world. In the USA we are now into our second generation of scrubber replacement on our power plants and chemical manufacturing facilities. That’s how the air has been cleaned up as well as it has over this time period.
From what I can see the result of all of this is simply China standing there with its hands out today for either our remaining steve jobs drugs or our remaining money and a government that is working overtime to give them both.
Look at pictures of the smog situation from thirty years ago in LA. What you’re seeing in these pictures today is a greatly improved situation.
Maybe if China and Mexico were made to clean up it’s contribution here we could improve it even more but no one is taking them to task are they ? No…
Instead we continue to harass and hamstring our own manufacturers, speak in gauzy terms about the inroads that science will make for us in impacting this problem and ignoring the fact that we don’t encourage science here. The rates of graduation from our institutions in the engineering sciences is abysmal.
The concern for the environment in Asian manufacturing nations is even more abysmal.
So continue the economic jihad emanating from Washington. Use your EPA weilding a club against your remaining manufacturing base to chase every remaining job into the hands of the communists.
